Functional Medicine Specialist
04

Katie Poyasov

BSc (Hons), Dip NT (CNM), mBANT, mANP, rCNHC • FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE SPECIALIST

Katie Poyasov is a naturopathic and functional medicine nutritionist with experience spanning across different areas of health care. Her background covers biomedicine, naturopathic and functional medicine, health sciences and clinical optometry, and she brings a whole-systems approach that treats the body as a connected whole rather than a set of isolated symptoms.

She holds a BSc (Hons) in Biology, Optometry and Visual Sciences and qualified in Biomedicine and Naturopathic Nutritional Therapy at the College of Naturopathic Medicine in London. She is registered with BANT, ANP and CNHC. Her interests are gut health, hormone support and chronic conditions, supported where appropriate by functional testing such as hormone, organic acid, microbiome, digestive health and gut barrier panels — so that treatment is guided by evidence, not guesswork.

Her focus is healthspan and longevity — optimising health for the decades ahead, not simply managing symptoms. Plans are personalised and phased, built on food as medicine — diet, lifestyle and therapeutic-level supplements that support the body’s own ability to heal — and delivered alongside conventional medical care. Education is central: she teaches patients how to support themselves day to day, including toxin-free, cleaner living at home. Her work has been featured in The Telegraph, Women’s Health and the Evening Standard, and she describes her approach as 'identifying the root cause, rather than treating or masking the symptoms.'
